Campaigns are written in Markdown or HTML. A drag-and-drop editor (blocks: text, image, button, divider, columns) producing responsive email HTML would let non-technical users build newsletters.

Phase 14 scope (umbrella)

This issue tracks the visual email builder as a whole. Users should be able to build a good-looking newsletter without writing HTML: add buttons, pick fonts and colours per block, and see a modern result.

Sub-issues:

Block editor: palette, reorder, duplicate/delete, undo/redo
Per-block style panel
Inline rich-text toolbar
Template theme and brand colour swatches
Email-safe output and live preview
Visual editor in templates and campaigns

Decisions (see the milestone):

Email-safe fonts by default, optional Google Font with a safe fallback
Built in-house, no new editor library
Image uploads stored locally by Postak

A campaign built with the Visual editor renders correctly in Gmail and Outlook and sends with working placeholders and a plain-text part
