Goal

Format words inside text and heading blocks without leaving the canvas.

Requirements

A floating toolbar appears when text is selected in a text or heading block.
Actions: bold, italic, underline, link (add, edit, remove), text colour.
Keyboard shortcuts for bold, italic, underline and link.
Pasted content is cleaned down to the supported formatting.
Placeholders such as {{contact.first_name}} can be typed and survive formatting.
Output is limited to a safe set of inline tags; scripts and event attributes are stripped.

Acceptance

Each action works by mouse and keyboard and is undoable.
Pasting from a word processor or web page keeps only supported formatting.
Generated HTML contains no unsupported tags or attributes.
